Why does sustainability matter?
Sustainabiliy matters we all do care about the future. Being part of the natural World, we are dependent on the utilization of natural sources in order to sustain our business and activities. In short, sustainability looks to protect our natural environment, human and ecological health, while driving innovation and not compromising our way of life. Meeting the needs of today must be done without compromising the needs of future generations.
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is a certification that stands for ecology and social responsibility.
GOTS certification assures that certificate holding businesses comply with “Environmental Criteria” which prohibits use of health&environmentally hazardous materials, at any step of the production and processing.
GOTS Criteria for Technical Quality and Human Toxicity, ensures that technical quality standards to be fulfilled and unwanted residues are kept at minimum.
GOTS Social Criteria ensures that all processors and manufacturers adhere to the same essential standards, such as prohibition of child and forced labor; ban on discrimination of any kind, , assurance of employment to be freely chosen, safe and hygenic working environment, provision of regular employment, rights to association and collective bargaining.
